In a nutshell …

Throw me a title for ‘marketing-expert-digital-driver-parent-in-motion’ and I’ll wear it. I found my call to marketing nearly 20 years ago; its fast-paced mecca, collaborative forum, and people-centric offerings, a natural fit with someone who is highly focussed, bears strong strategic thinking – and likeness to Tom Cruise – and who’s passionate about all things digital. Not to mention, it also serves as an excellent platform for parenting – listening, comprehension, negotiation, and so forth.

Working collaboratively with people to strengthen pathways – seeking out their nuances, what makes them tick, their business goals, their ambitions – is what excites me and gets me jumping out of bed each day (not just my children).

I’m a firm believer that you can’t action positive growth in business if you’re not invested in its people and its essentials – brand, mindset, values, goals – robots don’t run the world, yet. So, regardless of size, industry, or segment, I journey to keep things real and deliver real value across all levels of businesses I work with – from SME to large global organisations, B2C and B2B, retail to education, automotive to fashion.

My experience traverses many a platform– operating within intense working environments, managing multiple, complex projects at any one time, leading and developing highly productive marketing teams, planning and controlling extensive marketing budgets. I’m highly focussed on driving return on investment and increasing brand awareness through creative, intelligent campaigns and activities. Whatever the task or tune for the day, I utilise my skillset and journey to keep things real, and deliver real value across all levels of business – from SME to large global organisations, B2C and B2B, retail to education, automotive to fashion. Positive growth can’t be actioned in any workplace if you’re not vested in its people, it’s brand, it’s goal set and values, so I bring to the fore listening, negotiation, creativity and brand awareness expertise – which dually assist me on the home front too as a partner and parent to two highly attuned CEOs

The Fashion Biz Group – and its associated brands – is a leading Australasian fashion, corporate and uniforms apparel company. Specialising in high-end, industry-leading manufacturing and research and development, Fashion Biz currently trades out of 12 countries, has 500+ staff and an annual revenue higher than most large, more well-known New Zealand organisations. Their brands include: Biz Collection, Biz Corporate, Syzmik Workwear and Peak and Cooper Watkinson Textiles.
I undertook the role of change-agent within the organisation, reviewing all existing and historical activity and implementing improvements to all marketing strategies, tactics, systems and processes, and reported to the directors and senior leadership team.

Roles and responsibilities included: Global strategy development for existing and new brands, development and ongoing management of global market research and insights, implementation and development of marketing automation systems, marketing activity planning and budget development, scoping and implementation of new marketing technology.

Responsible for the Hyundai’s overall marketing strategy, I ensured all initiatives were meet and delivered organisational objectives. As a core member of the executive leadership team – with the role of developing Hyundai’s long-term strategic direction – I lead a team of high performing marketers, providing support and guidance to ensure they actioned the skills and knowledge to drive ROI, and superbly execute all marketing activities.

Key responsibilities included: Leadership of six marketers and 11 customer service staff, management of extensive marketing, media and web development budgets, ownership of overall marketing strategy.

Achievements included: 6% increase in sales (YoY 2015 v 2016); digitally driven lead generation increased by 22% (YoY 2015 v 2016); 15% increase in brand consideration (YoY 2015 v 2016); Hyundai awarded Fair Go’s “Best TV Commercial of 2016” as part of the new Tucson “Let’s Get Lost” campaign; development of marketing automated (Marketo) customer lifecycle programme.

Future Customer – Marketing Manager

Project leader for national multi-channel traditional and digital marketing campaigns, including existing and new product launches. As part of the operations management team, I ensured ongoing business objectives were met, and ensured the ongoing management of all owned and paid digital media channels.

Key responsibilities included: Instrumenting large high-profile national marketing campaigns – utilising both ATL and digital media, managing key digital assets including websites, SEM/SEO, social and content strategies, actioning marketing automation (Marketo) campaign development.

Achievements included: Implementation of marketing automation platform (Marketo) – including development of custom lead attribution tracking system, management of social networks, harnessing nearly 10m video views on YouTube, and 140,000 fans on Facebook, with the highest industry levels of consistent week-on-week fan engagement; redevelopment of Hyundai’s main website which increased YoY website traffic by 42% and goal conversion by 10%; developed/managed new product launch resulting in over 1000 test drive requests, 230 sales, 45,000 new CRM records and 42,000 new Facebook fans.

I’ll bravely take risks and am not afraid to make mistakes. I value life’s lessons, and with every step forward I grow, learn and measure a little bit more.
